I’ve Been Around... And Now What? When my partner and I sailed out through Sydney Heads in December 2000, I thought I'd retired, and that we'd be cruising for the foreseeable future, however it wasn't to be. We agreed somewhere in the Caribbean that we weren't suited long-term to a leisurely cruising lifestyle, and decided to complete the circumnavigation within 3 years, and move on to something else. The PC slide show I've put together will take you around Australia to Darwin and the Kimberleys, across the Indian Ocean and around the Cape of Good Hope. Then up to St Helena across the equator to the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal. Then we'll jump on the Coconut Milkrun across the Pacific back to Australia. I've some captivating and funny stories to tell about the highs and lows of world cruising, great pictures and some insightful experiences to share. It's changed me for the better. I'm a far more tolerant, caring person than the one who sailed away.

Wow - You've Really Lived Your Dream! When I mention I've sailed around the world, most people are impressed, and say "Wow, you've really lived your dream. What are you going to do now?" It's a good question, because when you've done something totally awesome, it can be deeply depressing to contemplate the realities of life back in "normal" society! I've had to face the fact that my retirement plans didn't turn out the way I expected, and so I took responsibility for creating a new vision of retirement for myself, that includes a combination of work, contribution and play. It leverages my core skills of networking and communicating with my beliefs and values, plus my natural enthusiasm.
